ArtTalk brings "Neurocity" to Confederation Centre gallery

Landon MacKenzie is a Vancouver based artist and educator with a summer studio in PEI. The internationally known painter presents an ArtTalk at the Confederation Centre Art Gallery on Thursday, August 18 starting at 7 p.m. in the Sobey Gallery.

MacKenzie will give an illustrated talk called "Neurocity" looking at her paintings which build on neurology research. She will also speak about why art is such an interesting field of practice in a global context in this post digital moment.

Landon Mackenzie is a passionate educator and professor at the Emily Carr University of Art + Design in Vancouver. Her work is critically acclaimed, widely collected and written about. In September, an exhibition highlighting the last five years of her work opens at the Richmond Art Gallery in BC.
