Adult art classes return to Confederation Centre Art Gallery

Art classes for adults return to the Confederation Centre Art Gallery in October. The Gallery is offering two classes in the Schurman Family Studio beginning October 11. Both classes are weekly and suggested for people 19 years and older.

Mauricio Aristizabal will lead the Exploring Sky and Water in Art class. Participants will master the art of painting and drawing sky and water through four mediums: pastels, watercolours, acrylic and oil paints. The course will be divided accordingly for each medium and participants will be expected to bring their own photographs to draw and paint. All other supplies will be provided.

Registration fee is $250 for 8 classes
Classes start Tuesday, October 11
Time: 6:00-9:00 p.m.

Gail Hodder will instruct the Introduction to Drawing class. The class will emphasize spatial arrangement while developing abilities of perception and ways of seeing. Class work will be primarily based on observational study of still life. The classes will address sketching, grid drawing, line drawing, grey scale, contour drawing and crosshatching. All supplies will be provided.

Registration fee is $200 for 8 classes
Classes start Wednesday, October 12
Time: 6:00-9:00 p.m.
