Confederation Centre of the Arts launches mobile app

May 22, 2013

(Charlottetown, P.E.I.) - Confederation Centre of the Arts has taken note of the number of people zipping around with heads buried in a phone, and like many other businesses today, they have capitalized on an opportunity. A brand-new Confederation Centre mobile app is now available for download at the Apple store. Customers will be able to check out the theatre schedule and buy tickets, see what's on at the Art Gallery, and make a reservation at Mavor's - all from the comfort of their iPhone.

"We want to be as accessible to our customers as possible," says Carol Horne, chief marketing officer at the Centre, "and today that means providing connections that are convenient and easy to use. The app is a streamlined version of our website with bright clear colours and text; it's not only very functional, it looks great!"

Discover Anywhere Mobile created the app for Confederation Centre. They came highly recommended by Tourism P.E.I. and the Shaw Festival. Statistics show that 67 percent of consumers say they are more likely to buy from a business with a mobile-friendly site, and 21 percent of people who searched for services in the past year did so using a Smartphone.

The Centre's app updates each night, so any changes made to the website are reflected on the app within 24 hours. iPhone users can download the app at the Apple Store by visiting:
