Confederation Centre Closed Tuesday Morning for Royal Visit

Box office phone lines remain active; facilities to reopen at 1 p.m.

(Charlottetown, P.E.I.) - Confederation Centre of the Arts is rolling out the red carpet this weekend for the Royal Visit from Their Highnesses, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall. As a result, the complex will be closed to the public until 1 p.m. this Tuesday, May 20.

This closure includes the Art Gallery, Mavor's, The Showcase gift shop, and the general concourse area. The administration line will remain accessible via phone, at (902) 628-1864 and online ticket sales will remain accessible at

The public is welcome to be on hand as Their Royal Highnesses walk from Province House down the amphitheatre steps into Memorial Hall at Confederation Centre between 10:30 and 11 a.m. Their Royal Highnesses will exit the Centre via Victoria Row at about noon, where diners at the popular pedestrian mall will have an opportunity to show their warm Island welcome once again.
