Charlottetown-The Confederation Singers, the Confederation Centre of the Arts’ resident adult choir, is looking for new voices.
Every year, the choir performs two or three concerts, including a yearly performance of Handel’s Messiah in the Centre’s Mainstage Theatre. Other recent highlights have included Haydn’s Drum Mass, Mozart’s Mass in C Minor, and Mendelssohn’s Elijah.
Choir members also have the opportunity to increase their musical knowledge and understanding. Interested people are encouraged to attend the choir’s first rehearsal of the season on Monday, September 10, at 6 p.m., in the MacKenzie Theatre. Rehearsals normally run from 7 to 9 pm, but start an hour earlier in September.
There is a $75 yearly membership fee for choristers, but there are also family and student memberships available. For more information, please call Donald Fraser, Director of Music, at 628-6144.
