The Confederation Centre of the Arts is holding auditions for its annual community Christmas play on Saturday October 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Centre.
Performances of ’Twas the Night Before Christmas, by Michele L. Vacca, will be presented on the Mainstage from November 28 to December 5. There will be school matinees from Wednesday to Friday, November 28 to 30 as well as from Monday to Wednesday, December 3 to 5 and evening performances on November 30 and December 1st. ’Twas the Night Before Christmas is the story of the Sheldon family who awaits the arrival of Great Aunt Winifred, 96 years, 3 months and 12 days old who complains about everything, all the time.
The show will be directed by Laurel Smyth and the music director will be Lori Linkletter. Rehearsal schedule will be available at a later date but should start in mid-October.
There are parts for a father, in his early 40s, a mother in her mid-30s, two girls who play ages 11-13 and 7-8, and a boy who plays 9-10. The script also calls for a Santa look alike, elves (ages 6 to 10) and carolers of all ages. To book an audition time, please call Cindy Riley at 628-6102.
