David Clayton-Thomas concert moves to the Confederation Centre of the Arts’ Mainstage Theatre

Canadian jazz and blues legend David Clayton-Thomas will delight jazz aficionados on Sunday, July 8, at 7:30 p.m., when he spins into the Mainstage Theatre.

Originally planned to take place in the PEI Jazz and Blues Festival tent, the concert venue has changed to the Mainstage at the Confederation Centre of the Arts. The time and date remain the same.

A brilliant songwriter, Clayton-Thomas has survived more than forty years on the jazz and blues scene, not only as a member of renowned band Blood Sweat & Tears but as a solo artist as well. Come listen as Clayton-Thomas lays down the familiar licks of “Spinning Wheel,” “You Make Me So Very Happy,” and “When I Die,” as well as many others!

The second in the Confederation Centre’s 2007 Confederation Bridge Concert Series, this evening of jazz is presented in a first-time partnership with the PEI Jazz and Blues Festival. Tickets for this concert alone are $25, and can be purchased at the Confederation Centre Box Office, 1-800-565-0278, or online at www.confederationcentre.com. The first 350 patrons to purchase a full PEI Jazz and Blues Festival pass receive free admission to this concert! For details, please visit www.jazzandblues.ca.

The Confederation Bridge Concert Series is sponsored by Confederation Bridge, Tourism PEI and the City of Charlottetown.
