The Confederation Centre Art Gallery presents a new exhibition entitled: In Memory of Hilda Woolnough, RCA 1934 – 2007, a survey exhibition of works by the late Island artist Hilda Woolnough. The show opens January 20 and runs until March 23.
For more than 30 years on Prince Edward Island, Hilda Woolnough was an artist, teacher, advocate and champion of artist's rights. She served on the boards of many professional provincial and federal arts organizations and was a catalytic presence in the development and operation of PEI organizations such as the Great George Street Gallery, The Arts Guild and the Printmakers Council.
The Confederation Centre Art Gallery staff invites the public to a reception for this exhibition on Thursday, January 31st in the Gallery beginning at 7 pm. Refreshments will be served.
