Charlottetown Festival makes the top 100 in North America

The Charlottetown Festival has again ranked as one of the top 100 events in Canada and the United States. The American Bus Association (ABA) releases an annual list identifying the best events for group travel in the United States and Canada, and the Charlottetown Festival has made the list several years in a row.

“We are thrilled to be on the list, and we are proud to receive this recognition for more than seven years now. It shows us that our festival, anchored by Canada’s longest running musical, Anne of Green Gables-The Musical™ is consistently a top attraction,” says Brenda Gallant, Director of Marketing and Development at the Confederation Centre of the Arts, the home of the Charlottetown Festival.

“The Charlottetown Festival began in 1965, and with Anne™ as our mainstay, we have had so many great years of showcasing new and established Canadian musicians, musicals and plays. Each year is exciting for us, and we are grateful that the tourism industry and our visitors share that excitement and desire to attend,” Gallant adds.

The Top 100 events receive worldwide attention via the media--television, radio, and print--such as USA Today and CNN. ABA distributes 10,000 copies of the Top 100 Events in North America magazine, featuring the winners, to all of its members and to thousands of travelers worldwide.
