Charlottetown – The staff and performers at the Charlottetown Festival want every Islander to enjoy Anne of Green Gables – The Musical™ this summer.
“It is the 100th anniversary of Lucy Maud Montgomery’s novel Anne of Green Gables, and we have tickets on sale for the musical for the incredibly low price of $25,” says David MacKenzie, CEO of the Confederation Centre of the Arts. “That’s pricing from 20 years ago. We are inviting every Islander to come see Anne in this significant anniversary year.”
“Anne™ the musical is in its 44th consecutive year. More than 3 million people worldwide have seen Anne™. It is the world’s longest running musical, and it belongs to us here on PEI. Anne is ours and we have to embrace her and share her,” MacKenzie adds. “What better way to share Anne with the world than having every Islander telling their friends and family what a great show we have and what Anne means to us and to people everywhere.”
Ticket prices for the Charlottetown Festival’s mainstay are regularly $50, $60 and $70. There are a limited number of tickets in each section for each performance at the reduced price of $25. For tickets, please call 1-800-565-0278 and give the promotion code: Islander. Tickets are available for the entire run of the Festival, June 15 through September 27, but must be purchased by March 31.
