Charlottetown- The opportunity to see Anne of Green Gables-The Musical™ just got a little bit better. With the success Anne™ is experiencing this season, the Charlottetown Festival is pleased to announce the addition of Saturday matinees until September 27.
“Attendance has been wonderful at Anne™ for this 100th anniversary year,” says Anne Allan, Artistic Director of the Charlottetown Festival. “The festival company loves performing for so many sold-out shows.”
Compared to this time last year, attendance for Anne™ has increased by 46.4%, proving that Islanders and visitors alike are embracing Anne in this special anniversary year. Furthermore, the extension of the Saturday matinees into September will give families more opportunity to see Canada's longest running musical.
“We are getting excellent feedback from our patrons on the caliber of the show. Professional cast, crew and full orchestra are not something they expected to find in Canada’s smallest province,” says Allan.
Anne of Green Gables -The Musical™ plays on selected dates on the Mainstage at the Confederation Centre of the Arts until September 27.
