Charlottetown – The Confederation Centre’s Choral Music Programme presents Sing Along Messiah on Sunday, December 28. During this popular festive event featuring the Confederation Singers, the audience is encouraged to sing along with the choir as it performs parts of Handel’s choral work. The Sing Along Messiah concert takes place at The Kirk of St. James at 3 p.m.
“One of the most exciting parts of this event is to hear people who enjoy singing get a score and hear their voices join together,” says Don Fraser, director of music at the Confederation Centre of the Arts. “To hear it sung in the historic Kirk of St. James is amazing. It is such a warm sound and so appropriate at this time of year.”
Sing Along Messiah: Sunday, December 28, 3 p.m. The Kirk of St. James. Admission is by donation in support of the Youth Chorus’ travel fund. The Youth Chorus is travelling to Florida in the new year to perform at various venues.
The Confederation Centre’s Choral Music Programme is sponsored by Maritime Electric.
