Let your child learn through doing at the Young@Arts visual arts camps located in the Schurman Family Studio, Confederation Centre of the Arts. Camps are taught by Sandi Hartling, a graduate from the BFA program at Sir Wilfred Grenfell College in Newfoundland. Each week will focus on a different theme; however, campers will work daily on developing foundational skills in the visual arts such as drawing, painting, and art criticism.
Camps are for kids ages 7-12, and cost $130 per week. Instruction begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m., with a supervised, 45-minute lunch break and two scheduled snack times.

June 30 - July 4, book and papermaking
July 7 - 11, printmaking
July 14 - 18, sculpture
July 21 - 25, photography
July 28 - August 1, performance art
August 4 - 8, graphic art
August 11 - 15, textiles
August 18 - 22, media arts
Registration Info.:
• Camp hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; earliest drop off is 8:30 a.m., latest pick up is 4:30 p.m.
• Space is limited and based on a first-come, first-served basis. Register early to avoid disappointment. Payment must be made in full to secure space for your child.
• Campers are required to bring 1 packed lunch, 2 snacks, a water bottle, sunscreen and a hat.
• The Schurman Family Studio is a peanut free zone.
• Registration must be cancelled two weeks in advance in order to receive a refund; however, there is a $3.00 handling fee.
• Confederation Centre reserves the right to cancel any of these courses due to low registration.
