The Confederation Centre of the Arts is dedicated to the education of Canada’s next generation of visual and performing artists.

Our Young@Arts! programme encourages children to explore creative expression in a variety of ways, from drawing and sculpting to acting and singing! Through school collaborations, summer camps and year-round classes and activities, Young@Arts! introduces children to the arts in a fun and professional setting.

Young@Arts! programming is generously supported by the Michael S. Schurman Family Foundation, who made a sizeable donation to the programme last year. Chaired by well-known Island businessman Michael Schurman, the foundation’s contribution allows the centre to continue well-known programs, such as Dance Umbrella and the Confederation Centre Children’s Choir, and expand the performing arts summer camps to Summerside.
