With over 30 years of experience in leadership, investment and development positions, Mrs. Inman was appointed after a rigorous national search process.

Mrs. Inman, who grew up in St. Catherines, Prince Edward Island, started her remarkable career at the Confederation Centre of the Arts. Working as an administrative assistant for several years, she moved away from the Island in 1979. "We are very pleased with the outcome of the CEO search," says Wayne Hambly, Chairman of the Fathers of Confederation Buildings Trust. "Jessie Inman's years of international leadership experience and management capabilities combined with her love of the arts and strong connection to the Island make her the ideal candidate to lead the vision of the Confederation Centre."

While working and studying abroad for over 15 years, Jessie would often return home to the Island, taking time to see her favourite Island spots including "the Centre" and her favourite musical Anne of Green Gables- The MusicalTM. Inman's vast experience, education and love for the arts made her the appropriate candidate to lead the national arts organization.

"I am honoured to be selected for this unique and important position and I am looking forward to joining the Senior Management Team and continuing the great work that has already taken the Centre to new highs," says Inman, adding that she is very excited about returning home to Prince Edward Island and especially to the Confederation Centre of the Arts.

Inman acknowledged that following in the footsteps of outgoing CEO David MacKenzie is "not going to be easy," noting the amazing job that Mr. MacKenzie did in bringing the Confederation Centre to new levels both fiscally and from a programming perspective. She looks forward to carrying on this torch, ensuring the Centre's continued growth and success as an important institution for all Canadians.

Jessie Inman and her husband, Allan Hart, will be moving to Prince Edward Island when she assumes the role of CEO of the Confederation Centre of the Arts in early November.
