Late Night at The Mack back by popular demand this weekend

August 2, 2012

(Charlottetown) - Confederation Centre of the Arts proudly presents Late Night at The Mack for three select nights - Saturdays July 28, August 4 and 11 at 11 p.m. This annual event is a rare platform for members of The Charlottetown Festival Company to perform material of their choice, showcasing their own selections of song and dance. Audiences can expect to hear a large variety of music - from theatre standards to country, to blues to rock-and-roll - all backed by a five-piece house band.
"This event is an opportunity for people to not only see great music, but also a chance to see members of the company do something different," says Craig Fair, music director of both Ring of Fire: The Music of Johnny Cash and Late Night. "There is such a wide range of talent and diversity of performers in the company and Late Night allows them to shine in a different way and try something new."
Late Night at The Mack will feature the first-rate talents of cast members from The Charlottetown Festival's Anne of Green Gables - The MusicalTM, Ring of Fire, Come-All-Ye, The Kitchen Witches, The Confederation Players, and The Young Company.
Late Night has historically performed to sold-out houses and always delighted those lucky enough to grab a seat. These diverse shows take place at The Mack theatre in Charlottetown, located at the corner of Grafton Street and University Ave. Late Night is licensed for ages 19+. Admission is by donation with a recommended contribution of $10.
APM is the major sponsor of The Charlottetown Festival at Confederation Centre. Warm thanks are also extended to Canadian Heritage as well as the province of Prince Edward Island, through the Department of Tourism and Culture as funding partners for The Festival. Media sponsors are The Guardian, CTV, Hot 105.5 and Ocean 100.
