Confederation Centre of the Arts mixes bubbles and ballet for Gala FundraiserOctober 30, 2012
Public invited to mix and mingle with Canada's Royal Winnipeg Ballet (Charlottetown) - Canada's Royal Winnipeg Ballet will perform their latest spectacle, In Tandem on Saturday November 10 in the Homburg Theatre. To celebrate this internationally renowned troupe's Charlottetown performance, Confederation Centre is hosting an elegant fundraiser soiree with the dance company before and after the show.
‘Bubbles and Ballet' offers the public a rare occasion to enjoy champagne and delectables in the Confederation Centre Art Gallery and attend a behind-the-scenes talk from members of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet's (RWB) artistic team. These professionals will speak on the creative process behind Peter Quanz's In Tandem and take questions from those lucky enough to attend.
The Art Gallery, one of the largest in Eastern Canada, should provide the ideal setting for such a rendezvous having recently mounted five striking exhibits that will be made accessible on the night. Following the ballet, the night will continue with the chance for guests to mingle with the RWB Dance Company. Mavor's restaurant will host an exclusive reception for the troupe, creative team and special guests where the champagne and revelry will flow into the night.
Tickets for this exceptional fundraiser are $150 each and also grant the audience member priority seating for the In Tandem performance. A portion of the funds collected will be used to fund a workshop with the Centre's dance umbrella students from guest instructor Liam Caines of the RWB.
A tax receipt will be issued for a segment of the ticket price that is deductible. To reserve, contact Sarah Hastelow at (902) 629-1159 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. For more information on this spectacular evening, visit confederationcentre.com.
