This Holiday Season, the magic of Aladdin is coming to life in Homburg Theatre. Confederation Centre of the Arts will present the holiday event of the year, Aladdin: Another Fairly Tall Tale from December 11-19.

From the twisted mind that brought us last year's smash-hit, Cinderella, comes a new tall tale set on the snowy streets of Charlottetown at Christmastime. An impoverished young Island troublemaker, Aladdin stumbles upon a magic lamp that releases an all-powerful genie granting him three wishes to change his fortunes. This hilarious pantomime pits good versus evil as Aladdin, the Princess, the hysterical widow Twanky, and the magic carpet battle with the evil Jafar and his cronies. This year's classic tale is reimagined with a cast of dozens of local actors and musicians, and features a live soundtrack of irresistible pop songs and show tunes, and tons of audience participation.

Starring in the title role is Charlottetown Festival favourite, Gabriel Antonacci, who appeared as Gilbert in 2014's Anne of Green Gables-The Musical™ as well as the lead in last summer's Canada ROCKS! The Toronto native most recently played Rolf in the Stratford Festival production of The Sound of Music as well as appearing in the first U.S. tour of Green Day's American Idiot musical, the original Canadian cast of Jersey Boys, Carousel and Fiddler on the Roof (Stratford) and six seasons at The Charlottetown Festival.

Gabriel Antonacci, Adam Brazier, Rejean Cournoyer and Matthew MacInnis "appear with the permission of Canadian Actors' Equity Association".
