Visual Arts

  • Experimental Drawing

Drawing can be defined as "a graphic representation by lines of an object or idea, as with a pencil; a delineation of form without reference to color." This eight-week program, taught by artist Sandi Hartling, is about pushing the boundaries of a definition by experimenting with new techniques, media and processes. The class will balance an introduction to the fundamentals of drawing with discovery-based learning. In addition to charcoal and graphite, participants will explore a variety of unconventional mediums such as heat, water, wax and light. A fun class for all skill levels.
    Tuesdays, 6:00-8:00 p.m., February 7-April 4, no class March 21.
Cost is $100 (plus taxes), for ages 18+. Pre-registration is required as space is limited.
