DREAM CATCHERS - CONFEDERATION CENTRE YOUNG COMPANY | JUNE 21 - AUGUST 19 | OUTDOOR AMPHITHEATRE

Special for Canada's 150th anniversary our Confederation Centre Young Company weaves the dreams and visions of young people from across the country into a moving, original new musical.

The Dream Catchers: Exploring the dreams of young Canadians

Confederation Centre's signature project for Canada 150 is The Dream Catchers, a national touring theatre production, funded by the Government of Canada. The Centre's creative team will visit communities across Canada, working with young people, local artists, and Indigenous representatives to create artistic interpretations of their vision for Canada's future. Music, dance, visual arts, and traditional crafts will merge into a musical theatre performance, The Dream Catchers that celebrates our country's bold future. This vibrant new musical will be performed by the Young Company in the outdoor amphitheatre and at events across the country. Actual dreamcatchers will also be created by the youth in each workshop and integrated by Indigenous visual artist Nick Huard into a large national dreamcatcher exhibited at the Centre.
